About
Apologies for those not technology minded but this is summary that discusses the various technologies and skills that I utilise.
Hi There my name is Sam I’m a Melbourne based Web Designer. When I was young I was fascinated with how to make websites work. I started using free web hosts that build the HTML for you such as Piczo and Moonfruit. That’s where it all began really. I used ‘W3 Schools’ to learn my basic HTML but never taught myself page structure, this came later in my studies.
Sometime after my initial interest, I stopped making websites but the HTML knowledge stayed with me. My brother is a musician and there came a day he needed a website. Luckily around the same time a friend taught me some skills in Flash so I used that to create my brothers website. Not long after that I did a Certificate III in Information Technology where we were taught Dreamweaver. This helped me learn about how to structure the layout of a website as well as using more recent technologies such as div’s and CSS.
I applied these principles and the HTML I already knew to create my brothers first HTML website. I since have completed a Certificate IV in Information Technology (Websites) where we were taught HTML/CSS hand coding with tables, Illustrator, Photoshop, Flash, PHP and WordPress Themes.
I have completed my Diploma of Information Technology (Multimedia) Where we were Taught Premiere, After Effects, Video, Maya, 3D Animation/Modelling with a Major Project our groups Major Project was a Website and Promotional DVD for Bunurong Memorial Park. I plan to further my Education into Graphic Design.
I aspire to be an all rounder who can create functional websites as well as design the artistic elements of your project. Pretty well I am your one stop shop!
